Gelling is the condition when viscosity of coat increase and looks like gel. To prevent this problem of gelling, formulator can added anti-gelling agent AFCONA 6700 or AFCONA 6701.
Settling happenned because gravity forces that pulling down the heavy pigments toward the bottom part of the container. Physically, settling is depending on viscosity of the paint. The less viscosity of the paint will result in faster settling phenomena. However, the higher viscosity will slow down the process but if given more time, settling can also happen.
Anti-skinning agent used to prevent contact of oxygen with air dry alkyd resin to prevent the formulation of skin during storage. Type of anti-skinning that we serve is Touch Mask 9100 for solvent based coating.
